Unicum Cocktails - How To Use This Obscure Liqueur

Unicum. An obscure but delightful liqueur that is Jagermeister-esque but with a bit more menthol and eucalyptus. Although it is typically enjoyed as an aperitif or digestif, we found a way to use it in two fantastic cocktails. The first is a more refreshing/easier drinking cocktail and the second being a stiffer "sipping" cocktail. Enjoy!

Unicum Cocktail #1

Ingredients:

3/4oz Unicum

1oz Vodka

3/4oz Aperol

1 1/2oz Grapefruit Juice

3/4oz Honey Simple Syrup

3/4oz Lemon Juice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in your Boston shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into a Collins glass and add ice. Garnish with a grapefruit twist or wheel.

Unicum Cocktail #2

Ingredients:

1 1/2oz Mezcal

3/4oz Unicum

1/4oz Clove Simple Syrup

4 Dashes Orange Bitters

Lime Zest

Directions:
